Research Project
-
Nov 2015 - Jan 2016
Using a combination of 2-photon microscopy and genetically encoded calcium indicators in the zebrafish central nervous system, this project investigated if neurons that produce compensatory body movements in response to perceived motion adapt over time. Under the supervision of Professor Aristides Arrenberg I desgined the stimulus paradigm to test this hypothesis and carried out an exploratory matlab analysis, writing software to access the large data sets produced from these experiments.

Research Project
-
Sep 2015 - Nov 2015
During this 12 week project I used two photon microscopy to investigate if photoreceptors in the retina produce transient electrical events. This project involved ex-vivo retina isolation from mice, as well as simultaneous pharmacology to both preserve and modify the tissue for the specific research question
