Adjacent to the stunning Tahunanui Beach, the Tahuna Beach Holiday Park & Motel is one of New Zealand’s most picturesque holiday accommodation and activity destinations. One of the largest holiday parks in the Southern hemisphere, it has been the backdrop to collective holiday memories since 1926. Spanning 54 acres with 600 campsites and 90 accommodation units, the Park is home to 100 long term residents and hosts up to 2,500 people in the peak season. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, as the Operations & Facilities Manager I am responsible for the strategic and operational implementation of both hard and soft FM services across the site including all health, safety and security aspects of the business. Aside from day to day operations management of the park, contractor, senior stakeholder, budget and project management are key parts of my role as the business has entered a period of significant reinvestment. I have been instrumental in creating functioning asset/utilities management plans, condition assessments and planned preventive maintenance schedules for all grounds, buildings, assets and associated infrastructure. Managing the day to day running of a busy restaurant & bar with a team of up to 7 staff. Ensuring excellent customer service was maintained and being responsible for Staff training, hiring, rosters, cash handling and the safety of patrons (sometimes in excess of 300 people) In my time working at the establishment my team increased sales by 40%, something I put down to the exceptional customer experience we delivered.
