Bio
Dr. Maria Papadakis
I hired Jody in 2015 to manage a variety of special projects for the Program in Gender & Sexuality Studies (GSS) at Princeton University. I was particularly impressed by Jody’s leadership of GSS’s website redesign project. Taking full ownership of the process, she collaborated with our staff and the firm who designed and built the site, managing everything from the big picture down to the details in a timely manner. Jody is highly proactive, dependable, creative, solutions-oriented and has excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.

Dr. Jody Barto and I have worked together on a number of projects including in a class I taught in the Executive Master of Science program in Technology Management at the School of Professional Studies, Columbia University in which she was an Associate Lecturer and Research Projects on which we were co-collaborators. She has also been a guest lecturer in courses I teach at Teachers College, Columbia University and has provided valuable counseling and guidance to various students. Her contributions in all these activities have been invaluable. Jody is excellent at project design and planning and does so in a way that is highly collaborative. She is particularly good at bringing structure to situations that are initially disorganized. This includes being strategic in terms of making choices about where to place her focus and energy in bringing order to such complicated situations. She is also very good at building teams that effectively utilize the strengths of others in team settings. Additionally, Jody effectively balances the bigger picture with attention to detail. As a result, in our work together she kept projects and projects on track to meet deadlines. Jody has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can read social situations very effectively, is an excellent presenter, good at administering events, and as my above comments indicate, is good at collaboration. She is also very dependable in meeting her commitments and is a valued colleague.
