  I grew up on a farm & then went to Iowa State University. During my sophomore year, I started volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club of Ames. I continued volunteering for the next 2 years of college and after graduating, I was hired as their program director. The next 8 years, I was the Executive Director of two other Clubs.I became a realtor over 25 years ago and I have loved it ever since. But something was missing during that time. At the ripe old age 43, I married the love of my life. We both wanted 3 or 4 children and we were not getting any younger. BAM ! WOW… 4 kids in a 2 year & 11 month period, twin boy/girl followed by a girl then a boy.My profession allows me flexibility to volunteer for school field trips and drive my girls to dance & gymnastics and to volunteer as a coach for both son's football & Sons/daughter's basketball teams. I also was a den leader for my son’s Cub Scout Pack for 4 years.I have over 25 years of experience selling residential properties. My first 8.5 years were as a sales associate with Iowa Realty. Next Burnett Realty (now Keller Williams) came a calling and I was one of the first two agents hired to join their company. After 7 + years there, I was recruited by REMAX Real Estate Concepts and started working there as a agent in the West Des Moines branch.I made a wise switch in February of 2016 to a new real estate company in the Des Moines marketplace called Platinum Realty. I became the company's TEAM LEADER in July of 2016 and I have loved the change. Platinum Realty gives me total control to set my own commission rates because I receive 100% of the commission and they do not charge a monthly fee.
