Peterhouse is the oldest college of the University of Cambridge. As the Librarian of the working undergraduate library, Ward Library, I managed the library budget, classified and catalogued new accessions and supervised library staff. Service Development Librarian

The role of Service Development Librarian was newly created following a London Borough of Barnet restructure. Responsibilities include working as part of a service development team to purchase and manage stock and project manage events and activities. Other duties of the role include web authoring, creating publicity resources, and developing and delivering staff training.

In addition to participating in routine library tasks including circulation and enquiry desk services, I managed the children and teenage collection for my allotted branch libraries. I developed, promoted and delivered library-based activities and events, engaged in regular outreach activities, and worked as part of a team with my fellow children’s librarians to improve service provision.
