PRO-ED, Inc is a leading publisher of norm-referenced tests, books, and disability therapy materials in the areas of speech-language pathology, special education, psychology, occupational and physical therapy, and early childhood. Project Directors work with authors of accepted projects to ensure their reliability, validity, quality, and utility. Project Directors coordinate a multidisciplinary development team, guide product design, formulate and manage project schedules, develop assessment items and forms in accordance with APA standards, direct ongoing test development projects, plan and conduct statistical and psychometric analyses, write and edit test manuals for publication, and provide input on software design and testing. • Manage the development of test development projects, including: o Sample planning (national normative samples, reliability and validity studies, equating/linking) o Item writing with attention to minimizing DIF o Test material development o IRB submissions o Data collection/entry management o Large scale schedule management o Planning and implementation of large scale statistical analyses (see below) o Writing test manuals o Writing report logic o Testing print materials prior to release • Management of a multidisciplinary team including data collection coordinators and editors/production • Collaborate with staff to develop technical materials • Develop content for score and interpretive reports across content domains (e.g., achievement/IQ, language, motor development) • Collaborate with various support positions • Represent PRO-ED at various local, regional, and national conventions • Competencies in the following analyses: o Classical Test Theory o General Linear Model o Multivariate Statistics ANOVA, Multiple Regression, EFA) o Causal Modeling (SEM, CFA) o Bayesian Statistics (Sensitivity, Specificity) o Rasch (IRT) o Equating/Linking o Meta-analysis o Small-n (Single Case) designs • Experience with the SAS, SPSS, AMOS, LISREL Show less

This position consisted of .5 FTE position on a state funded grant and a .25 FTE position on a federally funded grant. In the first position, I was responsible for the management of a state-funded grant looking at the effects of self-determination training and assistive technology on transition goal attainment of students with mild to moderate disabilities. Specifically, designing and implementing the research study, including IRB development and compliance, development of longitudinal data collection tools, collaborating with a technical support team to implement assistive technology services, adapt and revise self-determination instructional material, and present research findings at conferences. In the second position, I was responsible for supporting the development of an assessment of non-academic behaviors associated with post-secondary education, employment, and independent living for students having mild to moderate disabilities. Specifically, data entry and management of a large dataset, contributing to the development of scoring procedures, leading the development of score reports, analyzing the validity of the assessment using multigroup confirmatory factor analysis and differential item functioning, producing technical documentation regarding item and test functioning, and documenting procedures and findings of the assessment. Second, this role included supervising teachers on the unit, including leading team meeting, evaluating teachers, and providing training and feedback.
