  I am a non-profit nerd who is passionate about letting our community know about the options and resources available to help them move forward in their life. For eight years I was incredibly fortunate to have been on staff at Children First/Communities In Schools as the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator. In September 2018 I was laid off from Children First/CIS due to budget cuts. I now have the honor to be a part of the team at Pisgah Legal Services as their Marketing and Events Coordinator. I am thrilled to help inform the community on the powerful work done by our staff to provide free civil legal assistance to people in low-income who need representation to keep their homes, be safe from domestic abuse, access healthcare and be protected from consumer fraud. I love the work that I am honored to do every day in a city that I love.

  Children First/CISDuties include creating brand identity for local non-profit using latest technology for print, digital and social media platforms,including logos, posters, brochures and Annual Reports. Recruited and managed over 100 volunteers for special events and programs, and established collaborations with local businesses and organizations. Responsible for researching and writing grants.

  As the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, I am responsible for volunteer recruitment, management and retention, as well as marketing, graphic design and communications. In addition, I am the assistant to the Director of Advocacy for the Success Equation, a community movement to reduce the root causes of child poverty in Buncombe County.
