  I am responsible for seeking out what our volunteers (MEMBERSHIP) want and providing the tools they need (VOLUNTEER SERVICES) to become successful. I am the point of contact for volunteer matching and placement. I am responsible for the new leader onboarding process and managing troop numbers (harder than it sounds!). I also create core leadership trainings for our new volunteers and keep our Policies and Procedures and leader resources relevant and up-to-date. I am also our intern coordinator. I manage our internship program from start to finish-recruiting, orientation, job assignments, coordination and supervision of those assignments, exit interviews, etc. I love my role and am always networking and accepting contacts in my field!   I went back to school and got certified to teach in the early childhood field. I was responsible for creating age-appropriate lesson plans, meeting with parents, and providing a safe and fun environment for children to learn and grow. While I greatly miss the kiddos, I received an opportunity that I could not pass up at The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois!
