Jocelyn received her Bachelor of Arts in Theater at S.F. State University. Since graduating, she has taught at a number of theater companies around the Bay Area including The Rabbit Hole, a S.F. based company for children age 3-10 aimed to spark creativity and imagination though theatrical play, New Conservatory Theater in San Francisco teaching after-school classes for grades K-3, and All About Theater, a non-profit theater company and is dedicated to theatrical training and offers youth and adult productions to the Santa Cruz community. She currently works at a Resident at Hillbrook, an independent JK-8th Grade School in Los Gatos, and directed their 2019 production of Annie. She loves the freedom and exploration that comes with working in the theater and enjoys sharing that with children in a creative environment. Show less

Jocelyn McMahon-Babalis received her Bachelor of Arts in theater, performance emphasis, at San Francisco State University. She is a local actor, and has appeared shows such as Red Light Winter at the Exit Theater, and West Side Story at Pacifica Spindrift Players. Jocelyn spent this last summer working at Young Actors Theater Camp where she got to lead workshops in acting, as well as assist in Master Classes teaching alongside top names in the business including Naomi Grossman from American Horror Story, and Katie Boek from Deaf West’s Tony nominated production of Spring Awakening sharing her love of the arts with children in a creative environment. She has also worked for Little People’s Reparatory Theater and is a nanny in the San Francisco area. Founded in 2001, we are proud to say that we have created a program unlike any other at YATC. We have had thousands of students come through our doors who have gone on to attend top performing arts schools and work in TV, film, and even Broadway! When we first started out in drama class, we were both instantly bit by the performing bug. We know that this profession was our true calling, but our parents didn’t know where to turn to or who to call. How does one get a leg up in the professional world when they have no professional experience? YATC is part of the answer. We can’t promise to turn your child into a star, but we are going to teach them the ins and outs of showbiz from working actors, singers, dancers, directors, choreographers, and professionals from all areas of the arts.
