      Advisor & Senior Engineer: ENH - Advising the Engineering and Business Development Division and Coaching of young engineers - 2019 - ongoing. Head of Technical Department: CMG - Pipeline Company subsidiary to ENH. Responsible for coordinating all engineering discipline activities and respective staff within the company. 2014-2018. Engineering Director: ENH - Responsible for coordinating all onshore and offshore engineering discipline activities and respective staff within the company. The Department was created him and was the first head. 2011-2013. Project Coordinator at the Business Development Division: ENH. In charge of coordinating several downstream project initiatives. 2008-2011. Project Coordinator: ‘ Pande and Temane Natural Gas Project’. A 183 PJ annual natural gas production started in 2004. Responsible for the coordination of the engineering activities within ENH, the National Oil and Gas Company. 2011-2013. Project Manager: ‘Maputo City and Marracuene District Natural Gas Distribution Network and Matola-Maputo Pipeline’. ENH intended to build a natural gas distribution network in Maputo City and Marracuene District, to supply customers in the industrial, power generation, and residential and commercial sectors. He was the project manager within ENH of the gas distribution system in Govuro, Inhassoro, and Vilanculos Districts. 1998-2007. Project Engineer: 'Introduction of Natural Gas in Rural Areas'. The study comprises natural gas market assessment in the villages close to Pande and Temane gas fields (Vilanculos, Inhassoro, Nova Mambone, Bazaruto Archipelago Islands), economic and technical feasibility studies and management of projects during the implementation phase. 1998-2004.       While completing his fourth degree, Mr. Venancio was invited to join the UEM Chemical Engineer Department Faculty Staff as Instructor. He finished his studies in 1992s with distinction. In 1992, he began teaching Separation Processes, Mechanical Unit Operations, and Chemical Technology. In 1997, he worked in collaboration with the University of Cape Town, South Africa, for six months, as a consultant for the National Directorate of Energy of Mozambique, developing models and strategies for both natural gas and liquid fuels. In 2010 was appointed as Head of Energy Section within the Department of Chemical Engineering.In 1998, Mr. Venancio joined ENH (Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos), the national oil and gas company, as consultant performing several activities such as market assessment, economic and technical feasibility studies, basic engineering design, project assessment and analysis, project management, project monitoring, on natural gas in Mozambique. Mr. João Carlos M. de Sousa Venâncio is a lecturer of chemical engineering. He is teaching Separation Processes, Mechanical Unit Operations and Chemical Technology since 1990. Head of Energy Section: Department of Chemical Engineering, Eduardo Mondlane University. Responsible for coordinating promoting and coordinating research and extension on energy within the Department. 2010-ongoing. He has participated in several studies and projects on energy.
