Joanne worked as a content intern during the Fall of 2021. Her responsibilities quickly grew from writing social media captions to drafting a couple of our student newsletters which has 5000+ recipients. Her writing skills - succinct yet engaging & personal - made us feel comfortable making this decision and increasing her responsibilities though she was one of the youngest in the team. Joanne is very dependable, clear in communication, and great at expectation management. She’s autonomous and self disciplined so little supervision was required. The whole team enjoyed very much having Joanne and we are always welcome should she wish to come back in the future.

Joanne is a brilliant content creator! With only direction and almost no supervision, Joanne was able to come up with fun and creative content for our blogs. She would be a great asset to any company.

Working closely with all other departments of ISSIA HK (including events, outreach, editorial, research/advocacy, etc), the social media department aims to drive higher awareness towards social issues among young people through interactive engagements with our target audience. As the head of the Social Media Department, I am not only in charge of leading the team, but also analyzing digital data of our audience to optimize the organization's growth. Apart from experiences in social media marketing, I also possess skills in creating digital graphics for Instagram posts, particularly using the software Canva. Show less

During my 3-month virtual internship with Millie, I was able to develop my content marketing skills. The core of my job is writing social media captions, as I was assigned to write the captions for all posts across Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Additionally, I wrote blog posts and drafted email newsletter for the company. As a Gen-Z and high school student myself, I see my strength in understanding one of Millie's most important consumer base - international students seeking for higher education counselling. I believe this has benefitted both the company in terms of producing the most relevant content for its target consumer group, as well as myself personally as it exposes me to more opportunities in higher education pathways. During the week-long part-time job, I mainly worked on blog-writing and social media caption-writing for the sister companies of Bookazine, alongside copy-editing for Bookazine's 2021 Christmas Magazine. Additionally, I also managed some spreadsheets for Bookazine, which game me a chance to understand the simple operation of logistics in a company setting.
