  Started in 2012 as part of the ministry of the Church of the Holy Communion in Norwood, NJ, The Norwood Community Food Pantry has grown from serving 20 families monthly to now serving more than 75 families monthly. In 2020 this pantry fed more than 2,000 people during a time of increased food insecurity and in the midst of a global pandemic. In addition, what started as a handful of volunteers now numbers close to 100 individuals. These volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the pantry runs smoothly. To meet the increasing need, the Food Pantry has reached out to the local churches, the community, civic organizations, and schools for donations, and has partnered with the Bergen County Food Security Task Force. A quarterly newsletter reaches all those donors with thanks, updates and requests for pantry needs. In 2020, for the first time and through the communities' generosity, the Food Pantry provided the families with a Thanksgiving meal and toys and coats for the holidays. Now in 2021, the Norwood Community Pantry is focusing on healthy eating. They are hosting zoom seminars with a local hospital and offering their families a healthy recipe and providing the necessary ingredients.   For more than 34 years, Travel of Harrington Park, in addition to its corporate business travel services, helped individuals and families create memorable experiences through travel. With a niche specialty in romantic travel and honeymoons, the team crafted unique agendas to a wide variety of destinations. Working with a staff of five travel advisors, Travel of Harrington Park grew to more than 2 million in sales. As owner and operator, Joanne closed the business and retired when the pandemic halted travel in March 2020. Show less
