January 2013- September 2015 A senior consultant working on the 2015 Teachers Pension Reform programme. Working with the Department of Education on the proposed CARE scheme design. Attending discussion forum meetings with employer and union representatives to discuss areas of pensions policy. Providing regulatory and technical support to other colleagues, acting as a technical reviewer to ensure the accuracy of member communications, and ensuring members and key stakeholders were kept informed of over the reform project. Providing consultancy to a team of business analysts to produce business requirements for implementing the reformed scheme, covering the whole of the member’s pension lifecycle from joining the scheme through to retirement and beyond. Ensuing regulatory compliance at all times. Responsibility for the administration implementation work stream of the 2015 Teachers Pension reform programme, including establishing and managing the training team, and developing a training plan, which was rolled out the business teams to prepare them for the reformed scheme. Ensuring “business readiness” for each key milestone, comprising of system readiness, training, documentation and member communications were in place for “go-live” October 2011 – December 2012 Senior pension’s consultant on the Policy and Technical Team, providing technical assurance on complex member casework, and IDRP and Ombudsman complaints. Consultant and advisor for end-to-end business requirements, ensuring the technical accuracy and compliance with pension scheme legislation. Liaising with the Department for Education to ensure all pension administration scenarios are covered by legislation, and advising and supporting the Department for Education on all aspects of pension’s policy. Senior consultant responsible for Teachers' Pensions implementation of the changes to the Annual Allowance in 2011, ensuing regulatory compliance and providing consultancy for member communications.
