Bio
B. LaCertosa
Jo was my teacher at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute in the International Branding Program. She is one of those teachers that makes a lasting impression on all of her students, and for me this is especially true. She made herself available even when I was no longer in her class and took a continued interest in my development throughout my degree. Having this kind of support is extremely helpful in an intense study environment. She has a vast knowledge of the industry but also made it a point to dive into the subjects that her students were doing projects on. Having a proactive teacher makes all the difference, especially when there was always such a diverse range of topics from the students. Her feedback is productive and communicated well, she is direct when needed but took the effort that we put into our work into consideration. There was a moment in my study when she recognized I was struggling so she made it a point to reach out to me to call a meeting on how to go forward. Her expectations are high but is motivating and supportive in helping us reach our potential. Her lessons are interactive, giving us tools that we could incorporate into all of our work going forward. I am very grateful and appreciative for all of the time and energy she has put into helping my development.

Oct 2005 - Dec 2007
I have worked with Streative Branding, a Trend Research/Consultancy agency, as a Project Manager/Researcher/Writer/Copy Editor. The role was multidisciplinary, offbeat and creative, and the company young and dynamic with a prestigious list of international clients such as Nike, Estee Lauder, O2, and Bacardi. I was lucky to join the company in the very early stages and, therefore, I enjoyed numerous different roles and international travel.
