Wilson lab Project: Habenula-mediated adaptive behaviour. Investigating neuromodulation, neural activity and behaviour related to habenula-mediated adaptive responses. Project: Whole-brain larval zebrafish atlas. Developing a neurochemcial atlas of the larval zebrafish brain by combining fluorescent in situ labelling and image processing techniques to identify cell types based on spatial location and gene expression. Wilson lab Investigated brain-wide gene expression of neurotransmitters and neuromodulators in the larval zebrafish brain. Developed an image processing pipeline to threshold, segment and quantify brain-wide gene expression. Skills: in situ hybridisation, immunohistochemistry, Lightsheet microscopy, Advanced Normalization Tools (ANTs) for brain registration, Python for image processing and data analysis.
