Lucas Mendes
Saying that Joana brilliantly led the first edition of the MBA Brazil Networking Event is an understatement. She created the concept from scratch, sold her vision to recruiting teams from leading Brazilian companies, coordinated with participants from other top business schools, fundraised, planned logistics and led the execution of a world-class event. Her passion, drive, and uncanny ability to get stuff done were paramount to the roaring success of one of the most relevant initiatives delivered during my tenure as President of the Latin American Business Association at NYU Stern.

I had the pleasure to team up with Joanna at our Brand Strategy class. The goal of the assigned project was to help my family business, Golden Ladies Photo Co. Ltd, he Biggest Wedding Studio Chain in China to come up with a comprehensive brand strategy to unlock the full potential of the brand and help the IPO valuation. Joanna was such an integral part of this team. She took the time to understand the issues faced by the brands and very quickly understood the essence of the company. She took the lead on this project by providing very practical recommendations. The presentation was not only well received by our classmates and professor, but was also presented to the board of our company, who immediately took the recommendations and implemented it. I was very impressed with Joanna's business acumen, brightness and attention to details and pursuit of perfections. She is also a very nice team member to work with. She is a very patient individual with lots of will power. I would absolutely welcome the opportunity to work with her for future projects again or engage her for branding advisory.
