Joan is the principle backend engineer on my team, and over the last 2 years we have worked together on many projects, designing the API schema and data contract between frontend and backend. Joan is very growth oriented and always eager to learn something new. When time permitted, we would often engage in cross-training for our projects: I would teach Joan some TypeScript/Vue and he would teach me some PHP. From these sessions I can conclude that Joan is a patient and knowledgable teacher, as well as a humble and enthusiastic student. He also once gave a presentation on Postman, which resulted in its adoption by our team and significantly improved our velocity and developer experience. Joan also has great soft-skills, and his cheery demeanour makes him a pleasure to work with. He is also very capable and reliable, and I never saw him back down from a challenge. - Working in the Technical Support Department for the different websites of the company. - Responsible for deciding how, when and the importance of every fix. - When we found the bug in the code, we followed the next procedure: Fix the bug, refactor the code trying to use best practices and clean code rules and make a Unit Test (PHPUnit). - Partner with the DevOps department.
