I direct the business development team for MetroRod Mid Lancs. My aim is to increase our commercial customer base across varying sectors including construction, education, housing, healthcare and facilities.I have worked in a sales management role for over 14 years always with large, reputable organisations.I work hard to promote our brand within the North through networking and building relationships with key business people. I manage the tender / procurement process, working closely with our operations team to ensure we maximise any tender opportunity through meeting all deadlines, offering competitive prices but more importantly offering a dedicated and personal service, liasing closely with any other company involved throughout the whole process. My role involves; managing and developing a marketing team, promoting the business through marketing calls, social media, business networking with the ultimate aim of increasing awareness of the Metro Rod brand in the Mid Lancs area. I am working closely with Wigan Warriors Rugby sponsoring several of there matches this season and sponsoring there training ground and youth training scheme. I also have a nominated local charity Rose Blossom Trust who we work closely with on fund raising and have committed MetroRod to the sponsorship of a local football team Winstanley St Aidans FC.I have just signed Metrorod up to being a patron of Wigan youth zone as the facilities are amazing and something we at Metrorod want to support. My role also entails being responsible for the company accounts including book keeping, VAT returns, bill payments, preparing end of year accounts and profit and loss.Ultimately my goal is to increase profit through driving sales, reducing cost and ensuring we have the best people in place to deliver a superior drain care and repair service. My role was the Sales manager of the cosmetics hall. I managed a large team of staff and concessions across a busy cosmetics hall. When I started at the Manchester branch in 2005 it was taking just over 500k when I left 3 years later it had grown to 1.2 million. I worked alongside different cosmetics companies including Mac, Dior, Lauder, Clarins and YSL. I liased with area and regional managers regarding staffing, sites, new launches and promotions. Assisting the store manager with the everyday running of a busy and successful Aldi Store! My role involved managing stock, completing inventories and produce ordering to ensure the store always had the correct stock levels to service the customers whilst minimising waste. I had to support in the management of the team with reviews, test shops, completing rota's and till checks. I also ran the store on the managers days off or holidays.
