  I am or have been Director of the Drury University Writing Center, Co-Director of the Women and Gender Studies Program, Chair of the Department of English, Editor of the Gingko Tree Review. I am the author of two books: The Things I've Got Growing Deep Down Inside, a short story collection, and Give Me a Hat to Wear, a poetry collection and several other chapbooks. I also publish short stories in literary magazines, including Big Muddy, Elder Mountain, Northwest Review, The Literary Review. I am the librettist to an opera on Thomas Hart Benton. I teach courses in writing and literature on the undergraduate level. Show less
