I lecture in Primary Mathematics on the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching degree programmes. I also lecture in academic writing, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and essays. I am the Academic Lead for International CPD in the Centre for Educational Consultancy and Development, providing bespoke credit and non-credit bearing courses internationally. My current research projects include developing mathematical understanding through language and vocabulary development and a cross-cultural collaboration to develop creative teaching strategies for mathematics. I am interested in maths anxiety and how its impact on trainee teachers can be reduced.
