  I started working at The Wealth Corporation as I completed my BComm Degree. After gaining the necessary experience and necessary post graduate qualifications, I began to build and manage my own client base: first in Cape Town and then in Gauteng where I established the Gauteng branch of The Wealth Corporation. I was the only financial adviser in the Gauteng branch from January 2007 until my resignation in March 2013 and it was my primary role to draw in, anchor and manage clients. I learned to make complex, far reaching decisions on a daily basis largely without assistance. During my time in Gauteng, the funds under management grew from R50 million to in excess of R250 million. This was a steep learning curve as in addition to giving financial advice, which I was trained and qualified to do, I was responsible for staff appointments and training, budgeting, setting up and moving the office, ongoing IT management etc.
