      Worked at the Machine Learning team on deep learning models for fraud prevention. We reduced model training times by 15x, introduced new machine learning models as well as automated quality checks regarding models and variables. We simplified model deployments in some applications. We reduced manual work, shortened iteration cycles, and the time to deploy, resulting in an increased throughput while meeting business metrics. Previously worked at the Big Data team - Melidata. Main achievements in that team where: - refactor an application that handles streams, enriches them with APIs information and eventually persists to the requested destination. The refactor provided profiles with specific setups for each pipeline stage. - create a continuous delivery pipeline to deploy UDFs to a Presto cluster when a contributed UDF was merged making it available to all users within minutes - tune a Hive cluster introducing Tez engine and updating hardware/software configuration for better performance - provide means to cron queries against Hive to update reports and Tableau dashboards on a regular basis - document developed components and their usage in a wiki Show less
