I was the main contact person between the local organization committee and suppliers and the sponsors. My specialties are in the field of exhibition and sponsoring management. Most congress financially rely on sponsorship and a large exhibition. One of my tasks was to acquire sponsors and exhibitors. Setting up budgets, prepare sponsor prospectus, sell exhibition space are all part of the job. After negotiations about the terms of participation and getting the signed contract, I was their consultant for all sponsor and exhibition related questions. Apart from this, I also focused on different logistical tasks which needed to be arranged for the congress, i.e. audio-visual equipment, catering, print work and congress materials (i.e. badges, lanyards & bags). I negotiated with all suppliers in order to get the best price for my clients. During my time, I was involved in many different international congresses. As these where all organised in other parts of the world, I have gained many experience in dealing with international organizations and how to work with other cultures and nationalities. Below an overview of some of the congresses which I organized during my time at MCI - Eurocongress International: Apr. 07 – Apr. 14: “European Veterinary Conference “Voorjaarsdagen” (40th – 47th), Amsterdam, the Netherlands Jun.14: “33rd international Congress of the ISBT”, Seoul, Korea Nov. 13: “24th Regional Congress of the ISBT”, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Jul. 13: “5th World Glaucoma Congress”, Vancouver, Canada Jun. 13: “23rd Regional Congress of the ISBT”, Amsterdam, the Netherlands Jun. 12: “32nd International Congress of the ISBT”, Cancún, Mexico Jul. 09: “3rd World Glaucoma Congress", Boston, United States of America Show less
