  While volunteering I would help assist in running workshops that were held every Wednesday and part of my duty was to spend time with the elderly and listen to them and provide them with company. I would also help to clean around the age care and I would assist the elderly with simple tasks such as walking. Through this experience I was able to meet many new people from different backgrounds and it provided me with the opportunity to build and nurture relationships with different individuals and in return I was able to provide the residents with company and assistance.   While volunteering I would help to run the children’s choir, by selecting a few songs for the children to sing and I would also keep watch of the children and would sing with them. Through this experience I learned how to work with children and in return I was able to help the kids in improving their confidence and I had the opportunity to help motivate the children and have these children excited about singing and performing.
