While volunteering I would help assist in running workshops that were held every Wednesday and part of my duty was to spend time with the elderly and listen to them and provide them with company. I would also help to clean around the age care and I would assist the elderly with simple tasks such as walking. Through this experience I was able to meet many new people from different backgrounds and it provided me with the opportunity to build and nurture relationships with different individuals and in return I was able to provide the residents with company and assistance.
