  My main task in this palm oil refinery is to ensure the smooth operation of 3 process plants which are the Semi-Continuous Deodoriser, Hydro, and Interesterification Plant. I am also involved in numerous projects to increase plant capacity and efficiency as well as lowering production cost by: Implementing new process flow and settings; and carrying out energy recovery projects. Being in the food industry also exposes me to food safety challenges to meet strict ISO, GMP, Halal and etc. demands. Hence, my team and I have to constantly improve our plant conditions to ensure our department always adhere to the certificate’s requirements. Besides, I am also involved in utility monitoring to ensure we do not waste our resources unnecessarily and promote a good working habit in the process plant. Last but not least, my team and I have to provide problem solving ideas and root cause analysis whenever we are faced with quality, machinery or human behavioural issues
