SourceFuse is a digital product and technology development organization helping start-ups and corporations launch web, mobile and social software solutions. SourceFuse is led by a management team that has consistently delivered innovative products and solutions to the market for more than ten years. With a dedicated team, and offices in the U.S., U.K., and India. SourceFuse delivers high quality software products and solutions. As an intern for SourceFuse, my responsibilities focused primarily on financial analysis and forecasting. Some of the financial-oriented projects I worked on include creating dynamic excel models to help forecast financials and generating detailed, dynamic financial cost-benefit analyses to present to multi-million dollar prospective clients. On top of these financially-focused responsibilities, I helped create a pitch deck for a new venture that SourceFuse's CEO plans to pursue. I also helped organize a networking event, JaxTech Summer Social, that was attended by over 200 people from around Jacksonville. Show less

ChartSpan delivers turn-key patient engagement solutions to medical providers by maximizing reimbursements, improving care coordination and ensuring Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and Advanced Payment Model (APM) compliance. In addition to renewing my duties as the financial analyst, I helped with analyzing and evaluating new markets that Chartspan would eventually enter and finding sales leads in those markets. As a financial analyst with Chartspan, I managed the company's master budget, coordinated with the CEO to manage the company's cash flow, and coordinated with various departments to manage departmental budget allocations. On top of this, I created various financial models that were used when pitching to potential investors.Outside of my regular responsibilities, I created a system for tracking and reporting employee efficiency that provided management with the tools to accurately evaluate employee performance. I also brought attention to an inefficient aspect of the sales-side of Chartspan's business model and helped transform the management methods and incentive program to reduce costs and increase employee efficiency. As an operational intern, I performed various tasks. I created various Excel models to help the CEO calculate monthly profit, plan future sales goals, and to show prospective clients how much Chartspan’s services would cost, and earn, their healthcare practice. I also helped issue stock option grants to new and current employees by coordinating with the Board of directors for their approval and passing along the signed grants to be filed by the outsourced legal team. Furthermore, I read through various legal documents and created detailed outlines that summarized the documents’ contents, highlighted what actions Chartspan needed to take, and laid out timelines with relevant due dates. Lastly, I developed a workflow for a new revenue stream that was approved and quickly initiated. Show less

LinkMD, founded officially in 2012, is the result of the recognition and utilization of new opportunities within the healthcare industry as the company evolved from its original founding as The Doctor's Bag in 20009. Currently, it's goal it to work with healthcare marketing departments to increase the volume and lower the cost of patient acquisition. Furthermore, LinkMD provides healthcare providers with back-end software services both to manage physician listings and profile information as well as to increase search engine rankings through reputation management and monitoring. Along with the value-adding services LinkMD provides to healthcare providers of all sizes, it provides tangible deliverables of analytical proof of the ROI each of its clients earns. As a Business Consultant for LinkMD, I focused on altering the pre-established business model to generate more consistent cash flow. This allowed for further investment in software development and general company expansion without taking on more debt. My other duties during my time with LinkMD involved cutting unnecessary costs, establishing criteria for the viability of investments in excess human or physical capital, and creating easily obtainable, short-term milestones to keep the previously small start-up on a path towards growth and economic success. Parkins Mill Pressure Washing, LLC is a small company that primarily focuses on providing pressuring washing and window cleaning services to residential areas. Officially my first entrepreneurial venture, I strove to ensure that I took advantage of the opportunity to learn what I could and create the most legitimate, well-organized, and professional organization for which my limited resources allowed. My limited time and negligible financial assets seemed to be a major issue that would discourage most from pursuing such a venture. However, after registering the company name with the state of South Carolina and purchasing all the necessary insurance and equipment, I created a website, conducted an email and a mailing campaign, and encouraged customers to spread the word by offering discount incentives. Through these efforts, I managed to break even and earn enough net profit to regard this temporary summer venture as a success. Show less
