I’ve teamed up with Jimmy to tackle a brief for one of the Huge’s core clients. It was a very demanding project that required tremendous research deep dive and understanding of many complicated flows in a very short period. Jimmy proved to be an excellent designer who lead the process from ideation to definition and quickly earned trust and respect, both from the team and the client sides. One of Jimmy’s strengths apart from his excellent UX skills is his brilliant sense of humour.

Jimmy was working as a consultant at NewDay and it’s actually really refreshing to work with someone who takes a huge amount of pride in their work, and can execute. He set the strategic direction for Bip, which is a new cardless credit card by NewDay and help launch the product to market to huge success. The product is a first of its kind in the credit card space and has been recognised by Apple as an influential example of where Fintech products are heading.

      Rapid, intense discovery project with Funding Circle to hurriedly create an end-to-end concept for a new product idea to validate with potential customers. My interactive concept was rapidly tested via user interviews to gather feedback on the interactions, product offering and instructional copy. We came out of this discovery phase with far greater insight to what would resonate clearly with their audience, which was fed back to the client in order to create their product correctly, with the user at the front of their minds.       I researched and designed an interaction-heavy productivity tool, which brought order to the chaos of 22 global advertising agencies under the Dentsu banner who each managed their ad creation workflows in a different method. Think Monday.com, but fine tuned for high-powered advertising creatives who work 24/7 on their accounts and couldn't face receiving yet another email with yet another attachment. Account directors could see their team's progress, whilst individual users could inform everybody what they've just completed and see when their next tasks are unlocked. I created various end-to-end interactive prototypes of our interfaces and discovered that concept testing whilst remote working is a perfect match; validating ideas to a captive audience was effective to rapidly make major design decisions. Update 07/21: bip has launched in the UK, beating Apple Card to the punch ✌️ Through customer insight and competitive analysis, I pivoted Newday's original idea for their credit app into a UK-first fintech experience which became their fifth major product line - cardless credit. Think Apple Card meets Monzo, then look beyond both - we offered users instant, transparent credit with seamless transactions and a money management capability all directly from their phone, with a ethical positive twist to reward consumers for good credit behaviour. I lead the process of mass user interviews over several months, as I produced finer-grain concepts at each stop of the way to drive out customer needs and desires. Progressive versions of our interface came to life and we burned through so many post-it notes during discovery. I lead rigorous internal design workshops and went through intense pruning of requirements to stay on track, getting our lean product through development to market on Android and iOS. Show less

      I joined this early-stage startup who had a great idea, yet needed some design oompf in bringing it to market.Via my customer research and a successful Series-A pitch to raise further funds, I pivoted the startup’s original product offering into a referral-marketing platform targeted at corporate clients who wanted to leverage the existing chatter amongst their customer base. The platform is used by ASOS, Three, L’Oreal, Sky, BT, Space NK and Travelex to help them acquire new customers.I had such a wonderful time with this team rapidly building quality software which met our customer's needs, with my pivot causing a 10x growth in both clients and revenue.       Worked with a fantastic team of UX designers and researchers in order to create the Cash Manager App; Deutsche's primary electronic conduit for all corporate banking transactions. This project aimed to modernise user workflows across 33 countries via a new interface, greatly increasing the rate of which transactions could be posted by providing a sleek experience with simple interactions. It would act as a flagship App for Global Transaction Banking via the Autobahn App market. - Analysed a large quantity of user research from 80+ global customers to create sketches, wireframes, interactive prototypes and final design specifications via user stories. - Worked in an agile UX environment remotely between London and North Carolina with additional stakeholders in Singapore, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam. This was a new concept for the organisation requiring us to collaborate in alternate communication methods to undertake scrums, backlog grooming, and stakeholder design reviews via screen markups. - Performed product rationalisation using the Kano model to select quality first-launch features. - Undertook concept testing of new interactions and ran usability testing of more complete experiences. - Evangelised the word of UX throughout the business to BAs, Product Managers and developers ensuring that user needs were always paramount. - Acted as a design adviser to other developing areas of the Autobahn App market. - The App is now live and processing transactions, continuing to roll out to companies across the globe.
