The full student body of the school contains 197 students representing 82 countries. • Supervising students in IBDP School Supported Self-Taught World Literature (~30 students studying ~20 languages) to facilitate celebration of linguistic diversity and support for students' home languages. • Supporting students’ language-, study skill-, organization-, and motivational development through one-on-one meetings and large-group workshops. • Providing pastoral support to students in a residential-school context through one-on-one mentoring sessions, coordination with other staff to build understanding of individual students’ needs, and referring to appropriate resources. • Supervising the IB Extended Essay (~5 students per year) in the subjects of English Language & Literature and English B. • Participating in cultural- and issue-awareness activities, including various world festivals, LGBT issue awareness, and biannual Global Concerns workshops focusing on humanitarian, environmental, and Nordic issues. • Leading extra-academic groups in creative writing, ceramics, knitting, student newspaper, and an LGBTQ+ student group; co-leading project-based learning week-long workshops in cheesemaking, wood-fire baking, slow food, etc. • Training and monitoring the progress of peer tutors.
