As I sat down to determine my approach for writing a recommendation for Jim Brophy, I was originally going to write something short and sweet; almost to mirror the way he does business - simply, easily and without complication. But then as I pondered, I re-visited my strategy and realized "short and sweet" will not do Jim justice. The reason? His uniqueness is deep and layered; requires structure. So my solution was to create an itemized list, in drill-down form (one of Jim's favorite word combinations, btw...'drill-down'). So here we go! Jim Brophy is undoubtedly the strongest web/digital strategist I know because: 1) He understands that marketing is the study of economics and psychology 2) He studies how businesses operate and how they sell 3) He's so astute that he knows it's not just all about how businesses sell, but moreover, how consumers buy - and taking it a step further, he knows how they buy ONLINE 4) He's exceptional at recommending how a site should be organized to support consumer purchase 5) He understands digital strategy, PPC and SEO like no one's business 6) He a strong leader and encourages his team - always 7) Of course, he drives results (do I even need to say this?! Yes...results, results, results - he gets them) 8) He's at the forefront of technology innovation in the digital space and is well-informed on trends 9) He can answer just about any question that comes his way in a high-stakes meeting. Throw it to Jim - - he's got it. 10) He's a heck of a story teller; at times, I've never laughed so hard in my life 11) He's simply exceptional...and a dear friend who I cherish (ok, that might not tell you why he's a great web strategist, but I must end with his character, which is stellar. Thank you, Jim Brophy, for all you have done for SKYGEN USA.

I directly supervised Jim while he was an Account Director overseeing Fullhouse’s second largest client, a client with annual billings in excess of $4 million. Shortly before Jim joined us, that client had alerted us they would be transitioning most of our work to larger, global digital agency partners – a decision that had been reached before Jim joined Fullhouse. Needless to say, when Jim joined the agency, he walked into a client relationship full of complex challenges. Jim showed incredible leadership and perseverance during the 8 months he was with us, eagerly taking on these client challenges and motivating his internal team to continue delivering great work for this client, despite his team knowing we were eventually going to be displaced. Jim also showed incredible sales ability, having generated nearly $500,000 in incremental revenue…from a client that was transitioning away from us!
