These included over 160 staff, 100 training computers and 16 servers over 3 three training centres at Glasgow, Edinburgh & West Midlands. Maintain the company Intranet and add new features as required. Manage and develop the IT support team as necessary Monitor and audit staff usage of computer system to prevent unlawful usage. Responsibility to train staff in the use of ICT systems and develop training materials and courses as required. Assist the General Manager in developing long-term strategies, costs and capacity planning for meeting future computer hardware and software need for staff and customers. Assist the General Manager in preparing, implementing and maintaining procedures for IT usage within GTG Training. Advise Chief Executive or General Manager of breaches in procedure immediately. Monitor and maintain telephony system and train users as required. Program and support Audio-Visual systems within conference and training rooms. Support Developer for in house booking and administration computer system “Training Office” developed using Microsoft.NET technologies, by our parent company development team with main responsibility for all system, system integration, user acceptance and regression testing of the system. Responsible for gather all business requirements for the original “Training Office” system and all subsequent additions to it. Reporting all defects using the online defect tracking, issue tracking, software testing and project management tool Gemini and suggesting solutions to the developer. Responsible for setting up a user acceptance testing team of selected staff members and reporting back on any defects or observations. Liaise with external clients to confirm their IT requirements in advance of their room hire and ensure they are set up as required. Show less
