Jim Vance and I have worked together for over 16 years as a field engineers for an OEM of cable packaging equipment for the cable industry. Jim is a vast resource of software and plc knowledge of both Siemens and Rockwell systems. He has a background in controls design and has very strong electrical engineering know -how. Jim is our "Go To" asset when it comes to communications, integrations, controls, software, firmware updates and troubleshooting. Jim's extensive field experience and customer relations reputation is second to none. He is extremely talented, reliable, very well organized and always steps up to challenges. He works on a totally professional level across the board at all times and is a rock solid asset to any technical team.

Jim is an excellent, if impatient at times, mentor to newer technicians. He taught me a lot about PLC ladder logic, variable frequency drive commissioning, and gave me a good general foundation in industrial automation. Jim's wealth of experience in multiple industries and disciplines is an invaluable resource to any company lucky enough to employ him. I definitely enjoyed working with and learning from Jim during his years at Skaltek and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
