Having specialized in rural energy system projects, foundation installations and tower erection throughout the state for the past fifteen years, Mr. St. George has demonstrated an innovative approach to rural Alaska construction-related challenges through his introduction of new and more efficient means for accomplishing project requirements. Whether using new tools such as air bags to raise tanks, knowing how to move tanks with dollies or having the necessary experience to move cranes and heavy equipment into any rural Alaskan location, Mr. St. George’s versatility continues to deliver value for STG’s rural Alaskan client base. Mr. St George continues to oversee all day-to-day operations through his position as President of STG.

    • Board Member
      • 2010 - Present

With more than 20 years of construction experience in Alaska, Mr. St. George contributes a valuable depth of knowledge in his role as a board member of the Associated General Contractors of Alaska. Much of his early education in the industry was obtained on jobs in the mineral exploration industry, including exploration activities at Red Dog Mine starting in 1977. This experience, combined with other professional assignments completed across rural Alaska, led to supervisory positions managing winter cat-trains pioneering camp access routes; overseeing the construction of ice airstrips on frozen lakes and rivers; gravel pad runway construction; and the building of entire remote work camps. For these projects, Mr. St. George arranged logistical support, drilling programs, and exploration personnel. Support for these projects included overland winter mobilization, along with barge and air transportation of key supplies.
