Dr. Scott has an excellent analytical problem solver and took on a multitude of complex challenges in BOTH the chemistry AND marketing areas of Technicon Instruments. Although some time ago, Dr. Scott ALWAYS exibited a sense of business acument combined with a unique sense of, (dare I say, British), humor that put all at ease instantly upon meeting. This is a rare and valued combination that, in my opinion, was successful in the product launch of Electrolyte and Blood Gas Instruments that we were designing at the time. Dr, Scott will make a valued contribution to any organization lucky enough to avail themselves of his accrued expertise. I value highly my association with him as friend and mentor.

Conceived, developed, characterized and stipulated manufacturing equipment and specifications for a proprietary reagent used in electrochemical test strip assays for blood lead. This novel reagent improves results by eliminating interference from a ubiquitous blood component whose concentration varies from one individual to another. Made significant contributions to the evaluation and improvement of test strip manufacturing, including ink selection, ink manufacture and dryer oven specifications as well as to test strip vial packaging containers.
