  The last 15 years with MDOT involved developing and overseeing the MDOT Local Agency road construction program for the Grand Region, an eight-county area. The tasks included helping the local agencies develop project construction plans, oversee their construction process by monitoring construction and safety practices, monitoring for the proper implementation of MDOT construction specifications and ensuring the State and Federal funds were properly used. I also signed the Final Project Acceptance form to allow for project final payments and close out. I also coordinated or performed the required project file reviews and audits. Furthermore, I represented the Grand Region for various statewide events including the MDOT Small Business program and served on several steering committees to help set policy and directives for the statewide construction programs.
