A career that spanned over 40 years, I began my journey in the production dept. filling, then as a paint maker and lab technician, learning the tricks of the trade from my father, a coatings pioneer. Eventually becoming the General Manager and in 1996 I purchased the company assets and became the owner. I sold the business to RPM in 2000 and continued on in a leadership role. As the President, I provided exemplary leadership to the workforce. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to: establishing short and long-term goals, presiding over the workforce, managing budgets, ensuring the proper allocation of resources, and ensuring all departments met their goals. My hands-on approach allowed me the luxury of continuing to formulate products and programs for the creative audience we served. I have excellent leadership and decision-making skills as well as being innovative and entrepreneurial. Key Responsibilities: Oversaw budgets, staff, and executives and evaluating the success of the company. Annual meetings with RPM and other executives to assess the direction of the company, develop short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies, and ensure the company's compliance with the stated mission. Oversaw the complete operation of the company and ensuring all goals are met based on the company's strategic plans. Listened to the viewpoints and reports of the company's directors and making the final decisions. Maintained awareness and knowledge of the company's daily finances. Analyzed budgets and financial reports. Updated and revised plans to increase the company's profitability and progress. Created and maintained relationships with the industry leaders with a special emphasis on Disney Parks. Looking for alliances, mergers, partnerships, and investment opportunities and reviewing and advising on contracts. Created custom products with the R&D team for Consumer Markets and Theme Entertainment. Show less
