Bio
John Lambersky
Jim is the kind of sublime paradox not seen enough in schools: efficient yet kind and empathetic; philosophical yet practical; articulate yet willing to listen; humorous with a serious undercurrent; encouraging without being demanding; capable yet humble. Jim's leadership in the department, and the school generally, has made my practice better. Perhaps the highest praise I have for Jim - beyond his intelligence, wit, and admirable teaching skills - is his understanding that you have to choose well in the practice of schooling: you can only do so much, and not choosing the right targets means wasting time, energy and opportunity. Some would call this conservative, I say it's wise.
