Jim Henrys is simply been the BEST MANAGER that I have worked for in my 30+ year IT career. As a manager, Jim brings Leadership, Intelligence, Personal Integrity, Wit and Loyalty to the table. He has consistently used these personal characteristics to manage to the Intel Values. These values truly seem to be an integral part of the foundation that Jim uses to manage his organization. Jim Henrys is very effective as a manager of senior people. His use of regular 1:1 meetings (bi-weekly), team meetings and working with team planning documents have all had a positive impact to our team’s progress. Jim’s effectiveness as a manager in this area is really noteworthy considering that our entire team is virtual and spread among multiple time zones as well as the continuing evolution of our team’s objectives. Over the 2.5 years that I have worked for Jim Henrys, I have personally experienced thoughtful and helpful counseling as part of (1) joining Intel and ISS as a new employee,(2) the annual self-review (FOCAL) process and (3) on an ad-hoc basis when needed. Jim Henrys’ inter-personal skills have been a key factor in getting the best from his team even under challenging conditions.
