Senior Public Program Educator
-
Dec 2014 - Present
My responsibilities have shifted away from the lectures and tours that I enjoyed so much to managing the 6 state-of-the-art telescopes in the new Giovale Open Deck Observatory, a new $4M public program facility at Lowell as well as managing the new 24" Planewave for public program in the dome that used to house a 16" Bollers and Chivens scope from the 1960s.I am also on the planning team for the educational content in the planned Astronomy Discovery Center that broke ground in mid 2021. The ADC is a $40M new world-class public program visitor/educational center slated to open in 2024 at Lowell. It's the most fun I've ever had in my career.

Fine art photography using 4x5 and 8x10 film cameras. After 2008 I shot exclusively black and white film. My prints up to 40x50" were sold through my web site and through interior designers. I shut down my print work in 2014. I still use digital equipment for travel and stock photography which is sold through photo stock libraries here in the US and worldwide.
