I had the great pleasure of having Jim as a technical leader in the development team for web-based media streaming/player product. Particularly he did an exceptional job on leading the transition of a large development team to a small, but agile and effective team. Despite the departure of core developers, he successfully managed to deliver product enhancements on time while constantly motivating the entire team to produce their best work. Jim possessed solid technical skills on not only front-end software development, but also back-end systems with deep expertise of many different technologies. His eagerness to adapt to new technology and creative solutions made the team produce products that were feature-rich and robust. I often relied on Jim to investigate product issues and his resourcefulness and tenacity were essential to solve the problems all the time. Jim’s strong work ethic, passion and drive always ensured that the job got done.

Bi Jing was my mentor while learning Java. He was patient with me and showed compassion on getting me trained. His methods of teaching did not pamper me to learn the things I need to learn rather he made sure that I am able to stand on my own feet and survive without depending on him entirely. Bi Jing is one of my most favorite mentors I have throughout my education and career life.
