Richard (Rick) Brault

Jim is an energetic, creative, and calculating engineer willing to stretch his knowledge base and apply new avenues to approach and ultimately solve difficult engineering problems. I had the opportunity to work with Jim in as a consultant on a difficult program to establish scope and requirements. It was enjoyable working with Jim on this program because he was tenacious in his pursuit of the correct methodology to solve this challenging program. It was fun to share the hi lights of the program with him. Jim managed his setbacks well and took the findings --not as a failure but --as a learning experience to share and coach others to prevent other teams from going down a similar "rabbit hole." Jim is a good addition to any new product develop team.

Applied multi-disciplinary engineering skills to improve front end design practices including hand-calculations, 2D and 3D kinematics, linear and non-linear CAE/FEA for structural loading development. Purchased laser scanning CMM and developed metrology tools for inspection of prototype parts and reverse engineering. Created quality tracking document and worked with new quality group to establish quality workflow for prototype and new product manufacturing.
