Upholds Kensington’s standard of creative excellence by designing, producing and approving engaging creative executions in print, web, social media and stage screen support.Graphic Design – Specifically assigned to work with the Finance and Development department on any Graphic Design projects that originate from that department. This includes producing quality print materials at levels commensurate with the size and mission of Kensington. Makes pieces print-ready and attend press checks. Meets regularly with volunteer photographers to ensure a team spirit and understanding of the departments/Kensington’s needs as it relates to photography.Leadership. Responsible for leading all incoming Interns (summer or full year) in the Communications Department as it relates to general Communications Department and Kensington policies, procedures and practices. In addition, will lead all interns with regard to photography and graphic design under the direct supervision of the Lead Designers and Digital Strategists.Policies and Procedures. As an intern at Kensington Church I have become a confident graphic designer and gained the ability to use design paired with my love of photography. My time on their Communications team taught me skills and efficency in project management. Excelling in programs such as Basecamp, Slack, Microsoft Teams and the entire Adobe Suites. During this time I had my hand in many projects and branding series as well as being a part of the relaunch of Kensington Church as they undertook rebranding the organization from the ground floor up. Working with this award winning team really shaped my skills as an event photographer as well as developed in me the business skills that can only come from real world experiences in the field. I began my journey with them as an intern in the fall of 2014 before my graduation from Oakland University but quickly transitioned into a paid postion as a second photographer and writer for their web pages and publications. With the training I recieved from them I gained knowledge of the in’s and out’s of today’s photography world from the eyes of an entrepenuaer. They helped cultivate my technical skills behind the camera and gave me a wealth of knowledge in media marketing, organizing teams and schedules and brand development. Show less

After years of working with fellow photographers and being in various levels of leadership and managment I began leading my own company specializing in wedding, infant and travel photography. This venture has led me from my home in Michigan all the way to West Pokot, Kenya. I photograph various weddings and events all year-round managing teams of two or three additional photographers, as well weekly portrait sessions. Using my previous experience with Farm Bureau and claims service management, I restructured this agencies claim experience program, implemented it and then trained a new hire within the new strategy to proceed carrying it out.
