As department secretary I handle the travel for 18 specialist, procurement of supplies for the office and campuses, payment of consultants, help with budgets, set up events, answer questions and more for the Special Programs department.

  At HPAM I handled the Procurement and IT for the local Pediatric and Internal Medicine group. I ordered the medical supplies, vaccines and office supplies for the medical group. I also handled the IT/Software issues of the office. This included set up of new workstations, new employees access, trouble shooting computer and network issues and the install of a new IP phone system.   I resigned from Dow Chemical after a family tragedy. While at Dow I worked as Administrative Assistant in EH&S and on an International project. In EH&S I handled department budgets, procurement of medical supplies for Texas Region, Health Promotion communications across Texas Region and presenting Health Promotion information to employee groups at multiple sites. This included a Six Sigma project with NIH. After 6 years in EH&S I then moved to a position with the Procurement and HR department on an overseas project. In this group I handled relocation of employees on the project, procurement department budgets, travel, booking of conferences stateside and overseas. I also worked with other company administrative staff to coordinate success of project goals. Show less
