The Database Support Manager (DSM) will serve as the in-house support for users of the City’s major database applications: MUNIS, enerGov, Lucity, and Patriot. Responsibilities include:• Maintaining an advanced level of familiarity with the applications• Supporting applications appropriately, depending on each end user's specialized role. • Creating and configuring users and enabling data distribution to the right users, in appropriate format and in a timely manner• Ensure data integrity and confirm backup of data• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users• Determine, enforce and document application policies, procedures and standards• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when requiredAs a member of the Information Technology team, the DSM will have Domain Administrator privileges to the City of Auburn network and resources. This will require a high level of confidentiality, professional integrity, and discretion. All Domain Administrators have access to ALL files, images, and emails stored on City resources.The DSM will also more broadly support the mission of the Information Technology Department, and may occasionally be assigned other duties as required.

Provide financial support for all 10 departments, including daily operation and annual audit preparations, for the seventy-two million dollar city budget, such functions include:• Process and post accounts payables weekly in Munis. (city municipal accounting software)• Train administrative assistants, from other departments, in using our financial software to more effectively do their jobs. This has resulted in a streamlining of all financial functions within the city to become fiscally responsible.• Balance half a dozen cash accounts monthly.• Assist in mandatory annual audit of all financial transactions and procedures.• Process and post general billing, from all departments, to help increase revenue.• Regularly process payroll, and associated payroll costs as needed.• Reconcile school accounts to city accounts to prepare for annual financial audit.• Implementation and management of credit card procedures for over 75 municipal employees with city credit cards• Facilitate leases, maintenance, and supplies for various office equipment and vendors, as well as maintain inventories and budgets for general office supplies.• Multiple implementation of Munis programs to create efficiencies within the city.• Function as System Administrator for Munis.• Administrator of City’s Website.
