  LeoGen project was initiated with aim and objective toundertake long term conservation of genetic resources of threatened and endangered floral and faunal species. Long term storage of Biological samples, DNABanking and conducting research for medium and long term conservation of Endangeredspecies is one of the main objectives of the Project. Following work have been done in LeoGen Projects:  Protocol Development for DNA isolation from various Biological Samples  DNA Banking of all the biological samples present  PCR amplification reaction for genus identification  Field visit of various wildlife areas in the state Such as Bhavnagar, Sasan-Gir, Junagadh, Jasadhar, Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary, Wild Ass Sanctuary, Bajana.
