  DVAP is a joint program with the Dallas Bar Association and the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, matching low income Dallas County residents with volunteer attorneys who undertake their cases on a pro bono basis. DVAP accepts applications from various sources; including community outreach clinics. DVAP provides training and mentoring for volunteers and the legal profession. DVAP is also involved with fund raising, community out reach and education events. I expanded my paralegal role by communicating and forging partnerships with charities, groups, committee's and associations. My responsibilities within DVAP included case intake, advocacy and management. I was also involved with and responsible for recruitment and training of volunteers as well as the planning of training and fund raising events.
