Developed and led a year-round high school job training program focused on skill building, environmental and park leadership, and stewardship. Engaged and supervised 24 diverse high school interns from local underserved communities representing more than ten different high schools and ten different neighborhoods. Managed an annual $103,000 program budget for project development, staff development, marketing and advertising, and stipends. Pioneered, designed, and led an intensive 8-week summer middle school youth job training, service learning, and leadership program Urban Trail Blazers. Engaged and supervised diverse middle school students and high school-aged co-instructors. The program just completed its 11th year and currently serves 60 participants each summer. Key Contributions:• Developed the foundation and structure of program goals, culture, curriculum, product, schedule and logistics, and 3-day-and-2-night environmental trips to Point Reyes National Seashore and Yosemite National Park.• Launched and oversaw the expansion from 12 to 24 intern participants in the third year of the program. Negotiated resources and staffing constraints from scaling-up while maintaining high quality programming.• Trained 16 new seasonal co-instructors in the development and strategies for creating strong, relevant, and intentional lesson plans utilizing Youth Development Principles best practices and up-to-date environmental knowledge.

Founded, initiated, and developed the first high school youth leadership and job training program in San Francisco's Golden Gate National Recreation Area: Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders (I-YEL). Created a play called "Not in My Backyard" with 10 co-interns regarding the issue of environmental justice and presented to over 200 San Francisco public residents.
