  This 5-minute long animated short is my thesis for graduation from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. This project, titled “The Mole”, is not only the embodiment of my personal growth as a filmmaker, but also an authentic documentation of my shifting perceptions towards the concept of beauty framed within the context of the Chinese society. The film is telling the story of a girl who struggled to accept the imperfections and external judgements she faced while growing up.
