      Dr. Jiancheng Weng has been a professor in the College of Metropolitan Transportation (CMT) of Beijing University of Technology since 2007, and a visiting scholar in the field of Transportation Engineering at the University of Minnesota in September 2010 to January 2011. He also is the deputy director of the International Office of the university. He was selected as a member of “Beijing Nova” Talent Program by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission as well as the “Talent Youth” Program by Beijing University of Technology.He has been in charge of 30 projects include the projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the major Special Program of National Science and technology supported from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of transport. He also served as the chief project researcher while working on several significant Science and Technology projects on the topics of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), traffic big data. Much important research experience and academic results have been achieved in the field of public transportation monitoring model, the multi-source traffic data processing and fusion method. Prof. Weng has a more than ten-year service experience to provide technique support on traffic policy and urban traffic operation evaluation, and big data analysis, and decision-making for the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport(BMCT). Dr. Weng has published two books, and over 80 journal articles, referred and conference paper, 48 of them were included in SCI & EI Indexes, and were authorized more than 13 Chinese innovation patents,and received nine prizes of science and technology award respectively granted by the Beijing municipal government, the Chinese highway society science and Technology. He is also the senior reviewer of several international conferences and academic journals. Show less
