Thomas L Hark
When I first met John I had an immediate and positive reaction -- I wanted him on the VYCC team! I did hire him and have not for one second regretted it. In fact I have schemed from the beginning as to how to fully utilize his natural and incredibly effective leadership style. His leadership comes from a broad range of experience and skills built over time. It is then rooted in deeply held values around, family, community, and the environment. Throw in his always present broad smile, can-do positive approach, and a willingness to try out new and different ideas, and you have what I think of as a natural leader, teacher, manager. This is a man whose confidence is contagious. Who people follow not because of the title he may bear but because of the way he carries himself. And of course he is a lot of fun.
