Jhordan worked with my team in the summer of 2023 as an intern. She worked alongside our design system team to design templates to help with the adoption of our design system. In the first half of her internship, she worked closely with her mentor checking in with her each step of the way. In the second half of her internship her mentor and I felt Jhordan could take up the challenge of creating the other template on her own. Jhordan stepped up to the challenge and did a great job managing her time and the work to complete everything on time. Jhordan collaborated with designers outside of the design system team to validate what she was working on and get feedback on her work. We included her in all of our general meetings about the design system and she often had great ideas to contribute to the conversation. I was very impressed by Jhordan from the moment she started to her final project presentation. In her first professional work experience, she adjusted quickly and became an immediate contributor to the marketing and social media efforts in the college.
